Meet Dr. Leonor
I help people transform the patterns they never chose
My work as a trauma and transformation specialist brings together trauma hypnotherapy, generational trauma, inner child work, burnout recovery, and deep transformation.
It grew from my background in science, my own experience with burnout, and years of working with people who could understand their patterns but still felt bound by them.
Here's how I found this work
Before I worked with trauma hypnotherapy, generational trauma, and inner child wounds, I worked in science.
As an academic researcher, I learned to build hypotheses, test assumptions, follow evidence, and think critically. Science trained me to stay close to what could be observed, look carefully at the results, and ask what the data actually supported.
But for a long time, I did not apply that same honesty to my own life.
In research, I knew how to question assumptions. In my own life, I kept rationalizing the signs: the exhaustion, the disconnection, the pressure to keep going, and the feeling that I could not stop.
When Burnout Forced Me to Stop
Eventually, severe burnout forced me to stop.
Recovery showed me that my burnout was not only about stress or workload. Underneath it, I found a need to prove myself, a fear of not doing enough, and an old belief that rest had to be earned. Later, I began to recognise the same patterns in clients.
That was the beginning of a different question for me.
I stopped asking only, “Why am I like this?” and began asking, “What actually creates change when understanding is not enough?”
“Now it is time for me to live my life on my terms.”
What Became the Method
That question led me into hypnotherapy, regression, NLP, somatic work, and other integrative approaches. I was not looking for more theories. I was looking for ways to reach the layers that insight alone had not been able to change.
Through my own healing and years of client work, I began to see how often burnout, self-doubt, people-pleasing, over-functioning, and relationship struggles had deeper roots.
Inherited beliefs, family dynamics, inner child wounds, generational trauma, and emotional patterns no one had ever named.
That became The No Chains Attached Method: a structured, integrative approach that brings together trauma hypnotherapy, pattern mapping, somatic awareness, subconscious work, and the emotional, ancestral, and energetic layers beneath the story.
Burnout was not the whole story
In my TEDx talk, I shared my experience with burnout and the deeper disconnection beneath it.
What I understand now is that burnout is often not the root problem. It can be the point where something deeper becomes impossible to ignore: the proving, the over-functioning, the pleasing, and the expectations you were carrying without realising they were never truly yours.
The talk opened the door. The work I do now goes deeper, into why that disconnection exists in the first place.
my Why
I want to help people end unnecessary suffering.
Not the pain that comes with being human, but the suffering that continues when old patterns keep running the present.
I see it in relationships that keep hurting, roles people never chose, and survival responses that once protected them but now keep them bound.
That is why my work goes beyond insight, into the body, the subconscious, the energetic layer, and the inherited story underneath.
Because real change happens when all of these layers are met, not just one.
The Work I Do Today
Today, my deepest work is 1:1 with adults who are tired of understanding their patterns and still repeating them.
Sessions are online, in English or Portuguese, and bring together trauma hypnotherapy, pattern mapping, somatic awareness, subconscious work, and integration.
I also work with organizations on burnout, resilience, and wellbeing through keynotes, workshops, and team programmes.

A little more about me
I am originally from Portugal and have lived in Finland for fifteen years. My life is multilingual, multicultural, and very human: family, work, motherhood, and the ongoing practice of staying connected to myself inside all of it.
One thing matters deeply to me: science and spirituality are not opposites. You can believe in evidence, structure, and critical thinking, and still make space for intuition, meaning, energy, and the unseen parts of being human.
For me, spirituality is not about escaping being human. It is about coming back to yourself, being honest about your humanity, and learning who you are underneath what you were taught to be.
