What is Our Personal Energy? and How to Manage It.

Energy is the essence of life. Every day you decide how you’re going to use it by knowing what you want and what it takes to reach that goal, and my maintaining focus.

What is Our Personal Energy?

Our Personal Energy its a part of us that we cannot see, yet we know it exists and it’s vital to our sense of self. In other words, personal energy it’s all the subtle and non-physical things, such as our sense of aliveness, feelings, emotions, thoughts, memories, conscience, and beliefs, they all part of our personal energy.

The Personal Energy is expressed and felt through our emotions and our choices, and it is affected by how we fuel ourselves, both physically and mentally. Since the way in which we fuel ourselves affects the energy that we feel, it means that we have the power to influence our energy.

My question for you is: How are you fuelling yourself?

Energy Zappers

The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.

Tony Robbins

We’ve all experienced them, but how can we deal with them?

An energy zapper is anything that lowers your energy and thus decreases your life force. Often you become so used to living with these zappers that you are not even conscious of their effect on you. There are a number of things that can influence our energy, and generally, these can be broken down into internal and external factors. For example, there are people and patterns that deplete or “zap” your energy. And we are probably all well aware of the effect that too many low-nutrient foods or alcohol or late nights have on us. We feel sluggish and dull afterward.

Outside energy zappers, are perhaps easier to identify. They can be things such as:

  • Irregular sleep patterns,
  • Stimulants (like coffee and sugar)
  • Poor diet and hydration
  • Clutter
  • Always feeling exhausted after having been with a particular person
  • Toxic work environment

Internal energy zappers

The internal energy zappers might be harder to identify. But I am here to help you, because, when you identify your zappers and consciously work on them, they have less of an effect on you.

Examples of internal energy-zappers could be:

  • Situations
  • Your behavior
  • ‘Shoulds’
  • Saying yes when you mean no
  • Unmet needs
  • Crossed boundaries
  • Half-finished items
  • An outdated wardrobe
  • Unresolved issues or guilt
  • Eating habits
  • Being undecided about something
  • A relationship
  • Trying to please everyone
  • Working all the time without taking time to rest and rejuvenate
  • Not telling the truth

Throughout the day, you can notice what brings your energy down. For example, you can write down what you are putting up with at home and at work (or your main occupation) to determine what might be limiting you right now. After you are aware of your energy zappers you can see if there are ways you can eliminate or diminish some of them.

To manage your energy, it’s important to connect with yourself to find out what you most need at the moment and what is the best action to take. Performing proper self-care to keep your energy strong and clear throughout your day, and to restore your inner equilibrium to recover from upsets or stressful events. Coaching and Hypnotherapy are great tools to help you manage your energy.

Very important is also to discover what uplifts your energy. Pay attention to what makes you energized, and happy, and gives you a sense of fulfillment. Write them down and incorporate more uplifting things in your life.
